I have written an application called iLyric, URL:

documentation on what events if any iTunes generates.

A good pointer is what I am looking for.

Hi Gilbert,

I _think_ this is what you're looking for:

Launch Project Builder.
Select File->Open Dictionary...
Scroll down till you see iTunes. Select it. Click Open.

You should get a window describing the AppleScript interface for iTunes.
(Please pardon if I mangled the terminology. :)

If you scroll down in this window you should find the iTunes Suite, and under
that you should find an Events subsection with entries like
add
back track
...
play
...

Hoping this helps,
Mitch Chapman
