NSComboBox & NSFormatter

Hello:

I'm having a bit of trouble with an NSComboBox with an NSFormatter attached. The NSComboBox has some default values (entered by IB), and the values entered are formatted correctly for the NSFormatter. When the app runs, however, the menu is able to be pulled down, but the items are blank. If you select the a blank item, nothing will be put in the text field portion. It works perfectly without an NSFormatter attached. Any suggestions?

PS- This shouldn't be a double post because I sent it with a wrong address, but I'm sorry if it is.
