I have created a xx.pkg which consists of an application and a device driver. I have successfully installed the package. Now the problem is, I want to copy the xx.pkg to a removeable flash storage device, but copy denied with error "The operation cannot be completed because some data cannot be read or written". I have no problem copying the xx.pkg to other partition of the system's harddisk. I tried with other standard package downloaded, there is no problem.

My guess would be that your FLASH device is formatted with a FAT file system. Try re-formatting it (using Disk Utility) to use HFS or HFS plus. Aside from supporting Macintosh and UN*X file attributes properly, you'll also find that HFS(+) is a *lot* faster than FAT on FLASH devices.

Kind regards,

Alastair.
