If your ISP provides newsgroups, you could use a dedicated newsreader application (I personally like MT-Newswatcher, even though it looks a little "Mac OS 9"ish, it has very good functionality). That way, you yourself can decide when you want to update your list of messages, and you can send out your messages immediately.
