Hello, I've put a tutorial about creating NSMenuExtra recently.
As I've managed to understand it, creating of menu extra apeared very easy.

Yes, I saw that. Very nice :)

My question is not really about "how to do it". My menu extra works just fine. It's more about which way to go: NSStatusItem or NSMenuExtra?

Well from what I've read, NSStatusItem is the way to go. I got the impression that NSMenuExtra might even vanish at some point in the future.

Kind regards,

Alastair.
