I think in this case that stomping on the thread is probably not
called for, especially seeing as the discussion appears to have
petered out of its own accord (or come close to doing so). If this
were a discussion of oil painting or automobile repair then I would
agree that it would not be at all appropriate for the list. But as it
stands I think it's been a useful debate that has probably helped a
lot of Mac OS X/Cocoa programmers.
Hear, hear! I find threads like this very useful, and don't understand
what harm they cause the list.
