I'm not saying Python is better than Perl

You can't possibly make an accurate assessment of his choice of languages based solely on the small amount of code he posted here. He might have a 10kloc content-management system that's written in Perl, and he might want a model class that he can easily integrate into that. Or he might be learning CamelBones with the aim of doing that in the future.

The fact is, without more information than was posted here, you have *no* idea whether his choice of language was a good one or not. Your post was language evangelism, nothing more. Please, stop it.

I'm suprised, my last post caused so much discussion on the list.
- My main objective is to learn a GUI to interface Perl for standalone applications on MacOSX. CamelBones seems the natural solution and this is also the occasion to learn object-oriented architecture.
- Why Perl ? because I have some experience with server-side applications using PHP-MySQL or Perl-MySQL and I'm pretty sure to find what I need in CPAN.
- If I would be free of language's choice I would probably go to ObjectiveC, but in any case I have to be able to read ObjectiveC code because the Cocoa documentation is in ObjectiveC.
Thanks for your help.

Pierre
