There was a service, something like mail-archive.org or similar, where one could subscribe a mailing list to, and then they'd archive the letters and allow us to search them. I can't recall the correct URL, and I'd hope that mamasam gets functional again, and it anyway seems to go against the policy of lists.apple.com to archive the lists without permission from Apple -- but it's an option if the situation doesn't improve...
