Because of that note, I avoided NSURLHandle for my new Cocoa app.
What's up with that "should"? Is it just more efficient to use
NSURLConnection to avoid the extra layer of obj-c calls?
The recommendation is to use the new stuff if you can. It adds quite
a bit of additional control and feedback.
If you have to run on Jaguar as well (and can't stipulate that Safari
is installed) then NSURLHandle gives you a fallback position.
Just so I get this correctly: What about using the CFNetwork framework?
(The thing is, that I already completed a lot of my work with the Core
Foundation stuff and am getting a little scared because nobody's
mentioning that at all :-) )
