All these fonts have both OpenType and AAT feature tables.

Well, my whole point is that this is not true for Hiraginu (in contrast to other Apple fonts), at least according to ftxdumperfuser (and other command line font tools such as ttx):
I talked to the engineer working on the fonts and, yes, it is true they don't have morx table.
They are taking advantage of "morx" synthesis functionality supplied by ATS.

We can offer very detailed synthesis functionality for these fonts because they have "well-known" glyph complement "Adobe-Japan-1-5".
