Change main menu nib

I would like to suppress the loading of the main menu nib file until a time of my choosing.

Basically, I want to create a new NIB with just a splash screen and make that the first window to appear when the app launches. Then when the user dismisses the splash screen I want the contents of the main menu nib to appear/load.
