There is a "Show Build Warnings and Errors". However, I have turned this on.
You must be using Project Builder, then. Click the "Build" tab near the upper-right side. Above these tabs will be a split view with 2 panes in it. The lower one (which you might have to drag open) contains the detailed build information.
