I got chided last time for posting an announcement and not offering any
"free" (as in beer) software to the cocoa-dev list, so I'm going to try
and do better this time.
Stickler! is a new Scrolling Ticker for RSS Headline Feeds.
That's right, it sits transparently on your screen and you watch the
blog posts and news headlines scroll by (and the weather, and software
updates, and et cetera).
We'd like some help testing against a wide variety of feeds (we've
tried a bunch, including Japanese and German) and of course to see how
it works for you.
As before, will give free licenses to our beta testers, so that's the
proverbial "catch", you test and report bugs, you get free software
when it's released. We only need a few beta testers (not dozens), and
I'm going to be at WWDC next week, so please send me an e-mail asap if
you'd like to be considered to be a beta tester.
It's going to be a commerical "pay" (as in bills) application, but we
offer everyone free fully functional demos!
And speaking of free demos:
Anthracite Web Mining Desktop toolkit 1.0.5 has been released with a
couple new features and fixes.
I'll post a changelog on the user forums, but if you haven't already,
please check it out at

Both of these are 100% Cocoa applications, and I appreciate all the
knowledge that people have shared on this list to help folks like me
learn how to make use of this great framework!
