Yes, the OED actually converts any search of "ise" to "ize".
Although other sources will say "ise" is OK in the UK.

But in Australia we only use "ise", and think that "ize" is US (not UK) English.

I'd just like to point out that the Oxford English Dictionary
recommends the "-ize" and "-ization" endings consistently.

My pet peeve when in the UK was that spelling checkers would repeatedly
flag perfectly good OED spellings.
