Brushed Metal: Embroidered text

Hi!

I wonder how Apple achieve their text effects in applications such as iTunes etc.
Basically it's just black text with some kind of white shadow.

The only way for me to get close to this was (in IB):

- Put a text in a bright grey color in my application, then put the same text in black color on it, but one pixel higher.

But this can't be it, you'd have to deal with every text item twice...
Anyone have any clue?

Regards,
Michael
