NSAddressBook identifiers

I know that identifiers in the address book framework do not change
(while labels do), but do they change between uses. For example, I
find out an identifier, change some stuff, then close the program.
After I open it again, is there any guarantee that the identifier will
still apply in the ABMultiValue?
