Have I offended the list or am I just being ignored?
Perhaps you just ask hard questions? I only ask questions on this
list after I've searched around and just can't find an answer, and I
never get any answers [...]
When the question about creating a FAQ was recently asked, I was
actually considering proposing an ANTI FAQ.
This would collect all the (hard) questions which got no answer.
When I am faced with unsolvable problems I search the Mamasam archive,
and do see similar questions, and even though none are answered, the
combined knowledge of previous posters does at times come handy -- so I
was thinking collecting this in an ANTI FAQ could be useful.
Furthermore, I do receive inquiries about (unanswered) questions posted
in the past, so the ANTI FAQ would be a way to track the status of such
questions (as sometimes one will find a solution maybe a month after
asking a question (or perhaps just new insight)).
But I realized that such a document does not work well with a single
maintainer (since each person responsible for an unanswered question
should update it when new insight is obtained), and that many would
probably "forget" to update their entry.
So I more or less gave up the idea, but figured I would try to maintain
my own personal ANTI FAQ, mostly for the therapeutical aspect of it.
