Hi,

I'm happy to announce Shovel, a "Software Update" clone for third parties.

Hi !

I have not yet taken a look at Shovel, anyway - some thoughts:

As a developer, I like to know what kind of hardware and OS version my
program is run on.

As a user, I want my privacy respected.

What I'd like to see is a preference that gives the user the choice
(asked at first run) to tell all / some / nothing / ask each time.
And then submit this information when loading the developers URL.

Regards, Bjoern
