That has always been my experience as well -- searching the Apple list
archives is ONLY A LAST RESORT.

Apple could generate a HUGE amount of goodwill in the Cocoa development
community by subsidizing the list archives at mamasam. I, for one, would
rather have them leave out the trinkets from my WWDC bag and give the money
saved to Bertrand.

Every day that goes by (since 2004-02-27) makes me nervous that we're losing
the MOST IMPORTANT resource available to Cocoa developers.
