Utility Panel and Child Windows

Hi,

I have an application which has a window and a table view, when the user double clicks to edit certain columns, I have another window appear as a child window to receive the editing info and then it closes. I recently changed my window to a panel and now my child window doesn't appear. Are child windows not compatible with NSPanel? Or maybe I am over looking something that I need to over-ride in my sub-class of NSPanel or of my child window?

~Ian
