Wrong. Applications can "install" stuff that they carry in their bundle
by themselves. Take for example BBEdit which allows to install the
'bbedit' and 'bbdiff' command line tools while still retaining the
single step install.
What I was wondering is whether it would be possible to get the Finder
to also look inside application wrappers to find the importer bundles
and register them at the same time as the system picks up the presence
of the application itself. This would allow us to keep the simple
"Application contains everything you need" model.
Agreed. That would definitely make developers life easier.
