That's a very good question indeed. Too bad I don't have $500 to spend
on a crashing beta, but then I would have to break the NDA, so... ;)
Same here. However, the wording of the original document talked about
"the file system" automatically tagging changes; if this is true then
perhaps there's some new SpotLightFS? If so it wouldn't matter what
happened if you booted from a Darwin 7 system, as it just wouldn't
mount the filesystem. Well, not without someone backporting the
appropriate kernel extension from Darwin 8...that would require
open-source spotlight, so hopefully spotlight-aware FreeBSD would be
around the corner :-D
