Enabling click-through
Enabling click-through

I'm trying to figure out how to get click-through to work on a custom
view. I have a background app that opens a transparent window with a
custom view on it and I want to be able to click the view without
activating the window (since clicking it makes it disappear) -
currently when I click on it, the frontmost app's key window loses key,
and I don't want that. I've tried various things I see in docs that
looks related and nothing works. I've also tried searching mamasam and
cocoadev.com and all I see is questions on how to disable click-through
on some controls (although the click-through they're talking about
still activates the window, it just also triggers the control).
Basically, want I want is the effect of holding cmd down without
actually having to hold command down. An alternate way to look at it is
I want the same behaviour that iTunes's buttons shows when it's in the
small controller state (hit the zoom button).
Any tips?
