Yes, that changes things. Hm... Since the menu items for the color
panel are also disabled at this time, I must assume that it is the
intended behaviour. It's a bit inconsistent that the menu items for the
font panel are not disabled when the toolbar item is. Or vice versa...
Perhaps you should file a bug report and ask for clarification.
Any particular reason why you use a panel?
