It depends on when in the start-up process you want to set the location.
The command-line tool scselect can be used to create, set and get into
on network locations -

Select Set Command
usage: scselect [-n] new-set-name

Just put something like -
scselect Home
In the appropriate start-up file (depends on where you want it) and it
will set the location.
