Sorry, I sort of missed the middle of this thread, but I think I remember from the beginning that you'd like to remove your app's data from the Application Support folder.

This may be just me, but I never thought of data staying in there as a problem. In fact, I think it's quite nice that you can use an app, trash it (because you don't like it or don't have a need for it), a few months later install it again, and all settings are still there like the first time. I wouldn't even be surprised if Apple had something like that in mind.

I'm sure this happens quite a lot with web browsers, for example (I used to swing back and forth between OmniWeb, Safari and Camino until I eventually made up my mind), and I'm sure people wouldn't want their bookmarks to be lost each time they decide that a particular browser is not quite ready yet.
