Well, in this situation, since you know you're not overwriting system files, this sounds like it would be okay for your particular case. But you seemed to be implying that the receipts store a sufficient amount of information for an uninstaller, and that something like DesInstaller would be an acceptable solution for this purpose, and I believe that it's just too dangerous.
