I realize Apple doesn't talk about things they haven't announced, but since they are selling Tiger Early Start Kits it is already public knowledge.

Tiger is public knowledge, but the all details of the features and APIs are not. You must sign and NDA to get the kit.

I'm not trying to spread dirt on Tiger, and for an extra $500 -- which I don't have -- I could get this question answered.

Part of the reason that there's an NDA at all is that things may change between now and release, and first impressions make a big difference. Any information that people would give you now could very well be invalidated by the time Tiger ships.

All that said, there was a thread here previously about this very topic. There are certain language features present in Objective-C that do not exist in Java. I believe that Cocoa will continue take advantage of those features, so you should take that into consideration.
