yes, there is. Filter on the "List-ID" header,
I don't think you understood what I was doing. I have all cocoa-dev
letters go to its own mailbox, but additionally, those letters which
contain my address in the to/cc would be color-coded -- that way, the
letters which are followups to threads I participated in stand out.
This can be useful if e.g. I answer a letter together with a zillion
other people, chances are I'm then not going to read the zillion other
answers, but one could actually be a followup to my answer (instead of
just another reply to the OP).
However, seeing that I actually get two letters in this case, where
generally the first should be from the person doing the followup and
the second (which is deleted by my mail gateway as a duplicate) should
be from the list, and only the latter has the List-Id, I should be able
to still make my rule by having it match for any recipient being the
list, but the list-id not containing lists.apple.com.
as we've told people to do for years.
Well, sorry, but it seems that none of those people you told it to,
have passed on the message to me ;)
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion!
btw: continuing with the feedback on the new list
software/configuration: it seems the "summary" for this list is set to
be a long sentence, and that summary is used as the "name" part of the
email address for this list.
