You know, at first I thought that was a really cool feature. But it
turns out it's a terrible one.
That way responses won't get sorted into the list automatically which
will ruin the thread.

Done. Many thanks for the "Set globally" option.
I'm really missing a "respond to list" menu option/keyboard shortcut in
Mail. It's tedious to always have to type the list address into the To:
field.
