well, i got the knob to draw at a larger size by overriding knobRect,
but after more review, the frame size for the control is still fixed at
21. hmmm.

of course, after posting i figured it out. (and it was just an
oversight. the method - knobRectFlipped needed to be overridden in
NSSliderCell.
sorry for the false alarm,

i can't seem to figure out what i'm missing. is there an way to
subclass NSSliderCell and NSSlider to draw a custom knob and also
make the size of the slidercell differt from mini, small, and
regular. One of the 2 classes seems to be forcing the height of the
horizontal slider, but i can't figure out if there is a way to
override a function and stop it. has anyone successfully got this to
fly?
thanks in advance,
