http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/ CocoaBindingsRef/BindingsText/NSArrayController.html This binding will provide an alternate array content when multiple items are selected...

you may also need to look into the Array Operators (See the Key-Value Coding docs for those)
