No, EOModeler is quite a bit more than that. In this case, I fully
agree with mmalc to read up on EOF if you want to understand more about
the topic because
- mmalc knows exactly what he's talking about (having a _really_ good
WO background to say the least)
- there seem to be quite a few similarities.
One side effect of the fact that, as the article states, managed
objects must inherit from NSManagedObject is that indexed structures
such as NSArray and so on are unlikely to be subclasses of
NSManagedObject and, more to the point, unlikely to be trivial to
manage.
With WO, it is trivial, and from what I understand, it _will_ probably
also be trivial with CoreData. Take a look at the EOF documentation at
Apple's developer site or wait until Tiger is out to get more details
(I won't break my neck by giving you details here and possibly violate
an NDA).
Anyway, enough speculation. It will be interesting to see how these
issues are addressed.
It will _definitely be interesting, and it is also something to look
forward to, I'm sure about that. Now if I only knew that much about the
future of WO, I would be happy...
@mmalc: why do you use the past tense when talking about EOF? Did you
refer to the ObjectiveC days of EOF or have you "lost the faith"?
