How is this worse than using NSStatus items? I've got both in my menu bar,
and dragging from the app menu's to the right side, none of the items using
NSStatus menu's activate, but the Menu Extra's do.
As well, if you just click on an NSStatus item [and you get a menu], it also
doesn't behave properly, as dragging to other NSStatus item's menu's don't
drop down. But if you drag over a Menu Extra, it does display the item's
menu. [but then dragging back to the first item no longer displays the
menu].
