Hello all!

I'm looking to capture data from my iSight and I'm not having much luck. Googling around for a while I eventually found myself staring at the Cocoa - SGDataProc example from Apple. I'm surprised that getting video data out of the camera needs to be so complicated at the application developer's level. Are there any abstraction layers or new methodologies available since the example was written, roughly 2 years ago?

Does anybody know if Tiger will have any improvements in this area? Are there some third party packages that will make it easier for me to simply grab frames of data from the camera, do some processing with them, and spit them out to a QuickDraw or QuickTime view?

Maybe I'm being too lazy, I can never tell!
