Problem With iPod Mounting

  • Subject: Problem With iPod Mounting

I'm trying to mount an iPod even if disk mode is off. The problem is, as soon as iTunes is done with the iPod, it not only unmounts, but it goes completely off the radar. ItĀ disappears from /dev, the IORegistryExplorer, Disk Utility, etc. iTunes can still bring it back from its state, but I need a way for my app to wake up the iPod and get it ready to be mounted.

Any ideas?
