For those of you who have an ADC select membership.
What were your top 5 reasons for spending the $500?
1. Mac OS X Seeding
2. Hardware discount
3. Mac OS X and Server
Truthfully, I've been very disappointed in Apple's seeding process.
As a small developer who is paying $500, I feel totally left in the
dark regarding seeds, in particular Tiger.
Come on -- I found out about Tiger's upcoming release date from a
rumor site. Many developers I've spoken with were caught off-guard by
the April 29 release.
And as it is, it looks like the GM is not the last seed we have
(reports from people receiving Tiger already say it is 8a428), with
no clues as to the differences.
The hardware discount can offset the cost of the membership if you're
buying a high-end item (like a G5 tower + monitor), but I don't do
that every year.
I'm really questioning the value of the membership these days.
And yes, I'm lodging a complaint with ADC on this.
