That's exactly the problem there... Is there a good work-around?

Does anybody know how to get the selected segmented cell to stay blue when it's window loses focus?

It shouldn't stay blue. It should become a slightly darker gray when the window is not in focus. (The exception to that is when there is a utility window that is working with the contents of a particular window, so you have the keyed window thing going on.)

I have done a little experimenting and discovered my issue only exists on textured/unified windows.

The problem with the textured NSSegmentedControl is that it doesn't have the slightly darker gray to indicate the selection when it's in an out of focus window.

This is a known bug.
