Resizing the NSImage worked for me, I was expecting to see a "ugly"
image as a result but instead a nice, 128x128 icon appeared in my
application.
I should have some code lying around... I'll post that bit if I
manage to get it back.

iconForFileType:. Unfortunately, the images both methods return are
32x32 representations of an icon's file. Is it possible to grab a
full-sized 128x128 image for a file or file type?
