I'll certainly reconsider. For me, I found Tiger Mail's toolbar hideous
until I turned off text label and realigned it to the left (without the
default big gaping space on the left side). I'd be interested to know if
you guys still find that configuration hideous.

I did exactly the same thing and I consider the result acceptable, but still not something I'd want to put in my applications - especially when it takes extra effort to obtain it.
