Have you investigated the possibility of using the "bundle_loader" flag for ld? Check man ld for details.

Don't bother, it's not appropriate. -bundle_loader needs to point to an executable, not another bundle.

Thanks for the suggestions though. I think I was going about this the hard way. For now I plan to just use protocols to allow my plugins to talk. Protocols get me almost everything that I want, but more importantly they seem to be the tried and true way to do this.
