Calling it "bogus" is IMO neither nice, nor accurate, as the problem
persists even if you add the pools you mention. It's obviously an
example set up to prove a point, and should not be expected to have
production quality design.
Michael: I think you raise an interesting question. You should ask
Apple to take a look at it by creating a performance case for this
problem via their bug reporter web interface.
