Disclosure Triangle

Hi, I'm totally confused.

In my own subclass of NSView I expand and collapse parts. The proper interface would be a disclosure triangle. I've created an instance of NSButtonCell and set it up according to the docs. It draws where it should I can resize it, change its title, disable it. But I can't change its state! That is it doesn't matter what its state is NSOnState or NSOffState, it draws the same closed triangle. The docs doens't tell me if its setState: that changes who it draws the triangle, Has anybody successfully managed to draw an disclosure triangle using NSButtonCell?

Thanks
Björn
