Whenever this happens to me, I try to run the app from the command-line.

Open Terminal,

cd MyApp.app/Contents/MacOS/
./MyApp

you might get a useful message at this point.

In Interface Builder, you can do a compatibility check (in the IB menubar: File -> Compatibility Checking...). You might be using an object or technique (bindings) that won't run on 10.2 and this will out it for you.
