That's what I do also. Unfortunately, I have found that enough "mouse
wiggling" eventually results in the appropriate mouse entered events not
happening at all. So I would like to suggest that you check for that, and go
ahead and file a bug report to add 1 more voice calling for tracking rects
to get fixed.


FYI I still have a Carbon-based app and am adding new features in Cocoa
windows, so it may be that you won't reproduce the problem with dropped
mouse entered events.

Held off on answering this as I wanted to see if I'd ever have this issue. So far, I have never seen the situation where mouse entered events were dropped. Could it be unique to your situation since you have a Carbon app?
