Your last post with the links to the NSArrayController binding reference helped a lot, but so much of Apples bindings reference is scattered around and while I thought I'd found most of it, that one was new to me.... Once again I'd be nice to see some of this used in various examples and available in one place.

There are two "Bindings" books in the documentation.

"Cocoa Bindings" (soon to be renamed "Cocoa Bindings Programming Topics")
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/ CocoaBindings/index.html
"Cocoa Bindings Reference"
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/ CocoaBindingsRef/index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/10000189i

All the related documentation for Cocoa Bindings can be found in the "Related Topics" links from the Cocoa Bindings book. (KVC, KVO, VT, Sort Descriptors), as well as the Class References (also linked from there)

The bindings technology relies on those related topics, but they're not part of bindings. And bindings is becoming more and more a central cocoa technology, not something that can be broken out separately.

So, the first link is your one stop shopping location for all our bindings documentation.

mmalc asks what specifically people would like to see in those docs just so he can write up more doc bugs for me, he's pure evil.

Please, if you have suggestions for the doc, file the bugs. It does make a difference, and we know that this documentation in particular is not currently complete.

What I would like to understand is in what ways it fails to deliver on what it promises -- why are you not finding it solving your problems. That way we might have a better chance of improving the situation.Re: Bindings Book !!!!!Re: Bindings Book !!!!! (From: Vince Ackerman <email@hidden>)
