Re: Bindings Book !!!!!Stepping back from this, lest it appear that I'm just throwing this back in your face (which is *not* my intent), it seems to me that much of what you're asking for is covered. What I would like to understand is in what ways it fails to deliver on what it promises -- why are you not finding it solving your problems. That way we might have a better chance of improving the situation.Re: Bindings Book !!!!!Re: Bindings Book !!!!!

mmalcolm,
I truly admire all of you guys who see this subject so clearly.... I really wish I could see it too. Some day I hope to be part of the solutions on this list instead of the problems.... But I'm probably not as sharp and need a little more spoon feeding and that's where I think this complicated concept falls short. In order to get a grasp on bindings, those of us who are new to objC and Cocoa must search multiple places for information, try to piece it together to get a picture of the whole concept and then try and figure out how, in practice, you would use it in an application. Apples docs are full of cut and dried reference information but thin on human readable practical application examples.... in Scott's parlance: Shakespeare vs Mark Twain...
The tutorials You and Scott have written are great, but with bindings, if you deviate (as I did) from the examples, it is hard to debug and find out where you went wrong. I think that was the subject of another thread
Your last post with the links to the NSArrayController binding reference helped a lot, but so much of Apples bindings reference is scattered around and while I thought I'd found most of it, that one was new to me.... Once again I'd be nice to see some of this used in various examples and available in one place.
As mentioned previously, so many threads here seem to have something to do with bindings..... so maybe despite the information available, it's still in need of more.
Thanks for your help
Vince
