I do think that more visible documentation would be nice. Scotts
example is well done and your page is great. But ... a single source
for all this stuff would be nice. I *still* can't find a listing of
all the operators I can use. "@count", etc.

These are used in keyPaths, which is part of Key Value Coding.

    that's where it's documented.

“Array Operators” lists the available array operators and describes their use.

And I *know* I've seen it
somewhere. On the topic of a bindings book I think it's kind of
pointless. Bindings don't make much sense by themselves - they need to
be taken in context with the rest of Cocoa and the Objective-C object
model. I think people would actually have an easier time if the dug
around the runtime headers and grokked what kind of magic was going
on. It's really not all that fancy once you know how it works.

While that's true, it's not helpful if you're just beginning.

mmalc and I have had the luxury of working with the engineers on this for several months before the docs were released, and that makes a huge difference in what we understand. We also try to keep up with what you guys are trying to do, and that gives us more understanding.

the fact that this hasn't all trickled down into the documentation yet is not an intentional omission. just time.

What I would like to understand is in what ways it fails to deliver on what it promises -- why are you not finding it solving your problems. That way we might have a better chance of improving the situation.Re: Bindings Book !!!!!Re: Bindings Book !!!!!
