Right. I wasn't sure if I could avoid that or not given that if I do lots of things to an NSImage offscreen, it still displays correctly in an NSImageView. My guess is that NSImageView is doing the color work (explaining why just using NSImage/GL view doesn't work). That also means this problem becomes slightly ugly, as you can't just assume sRGB. You have to read the colorspace out of tif, jpeg exif, and convert to that.
