"Blocking" is too generic. I'd guess that aspect can only be
described in textual docs.
Folks, there is nothing here that requires a database. I'm
going to go out on a limb here... there was apparently a time when
this was all kept in a database at the Function level (this wasn't
the Obj-C stuff). It simply didn't work very well apparently as a
writing process.
This type of 'selective' display could be accomplished in many
different ways (the simplest being CSS style sheets), if this type of
format was adopted. But none of it requires the expense of an on
line database.
Also, the idea of there being an online database application
that you viewed the doc through is pretty unlikely. That precludes
users from having the same documentation on their machine in the same
access format.
